Literally. LOL! I’m preparing for a demonstrator stamping event up in Canada this weekend. I’m very excited to meet up with Eleonor again–we met in person at Portland Regionals last Fall, and she has arranged all this. There will be over 50 participants present at this event and I’m so excited to meet fellow Canadian demonstrators.

I had so much fun when I did this in San Francisco last September, so I’m REALLY looking forward to doing this again. The enthusiasm of demonstrators is so very energizing! Always good times!!!!

Last night I did a workshop right here in town, and was just so pleased at how it went. I demonstrated brushless watercolor with watercolor crayons–Lisa has a mini tutorial on her blog and after studying it, as well as a similar one on the resources page at www.splitcoaststampers.com , I practiced until I achieved just the right results. I can see what Lisa meant about trying to gauge the correct amount of “mist” on the stamp–a nice FINE bead on the image, but not enough to cause it to “run”, is what to shoot for.

The more I use these crayons, the more I am lovin’ ‘em!!!

The stampin’ fun just never ends, I think! My Grams is always saying I’ll “grow out of this phase.” She’s never had a hobby, so she is absolutely mystified over my continued obsession with art stamping. She thinks my cousin Janice (who introduced me to stamping in the first place) and I are absolutely nuts.

She sent me a sweater a few months ago . . . I stamped back a thank-you to her, using a tiny sweater image and the expression “Knit happens . . . ” The card turned out so cute–I should have taken a photo . . . ack. My mother said she liked it and got a laugh out of it . . . Grams. She cracks me up!

  1. How fun!! It’s always better to be up to your eyeballs in FUN stuff, as opposed to – well, not fun stuff! LOL!

Those lucky Canadian demonstrators are going to have a blast!!

  2. Hello, Tracy! If you look to the left here, under “Friends with stamping related blogs”, you’ll see Lisa Spangler is listed. Visit her blog! She shares some fabulous artwork there! HTH!

  3. Ok… who’s Lisa and where can I find her blog???? I’m so NOT good at watercoloring! I tried the Resources on SCS and that was pretty good but I’d rather just stick to straight watercoloring w/out PE. I suppose the technique would be the same but right now I just wanna absorb all the info I can get!!! Love your work – TFS!
