I have made this fascinating observation. It is very interesting to note that a design I’m particularly pleased over the end result of can garner relatively little attention, while another of my creations, which I consider OK, gets many accolades.

Why is that? It doesn’t bother me, just *intrigues* me. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I guess that is true . . . but, I’m curious all the same as to the aforementioned phenomenon.

  1. Good point.
IMO it might have to do with how much time you put into something.

I know if I struggle with something and I’m only just satisfied with it but load it anyway that people praise it.
If I’m thrilled with how something came out sometimes the love fest is small.
Sadly, I’m my best and worst critic and best audience!

  2. Hi,

First, I have to tell you I LOVE your cards. Especially the A Muse. I think they are great stamps. As for your observation, yes, I agree. I’ve noticed sometimes it depends on when you post the card too. Also, anything with “Toile Blossoms” gets lots of hits. I’ve uploaded cards I’ve loved and get just a few hits. The joy is in the creation, not the glory I guess. Look forward to more of your creations!

  3. I’ve noticed the same thing. I have a couple of cards that I created that I absolutely love and they only received a few comments. There is also one card that I almost didn’t submit because I didn’t thnk it was one of the best and, low and behold, I got quite a few comments.

  4. Hehehe! I’m still going thru the DDD gallery and I am going to try to figure out which one was the one you weren’t sure about uploading!
