Thanksgiving?????  I hope not.  Here’s a fun T-day design I developed a while back (Yes, I’m always having to think waaaaay far ahead–not always easy when you’re in the midst of SUMMER!  chuckle!)

All images and note card by a*muse art stamps; Clearsnap Colorbox Fluid Chalk Inks:  French Blue, Chestnut Roan, Dark Brown; Memories Black Ink;
Sakura Clear Stardust Pen (to give our pilgrim a bit of a shimmer on the buckle of his hat); May Arts brown gingham; waterbased markers

Note the position of the ship on the "water" line.  I learned something interesting in that if you are coloring an image with waterbased markers, the printed part of the paper can alter the results of the marker colors!  You might get two different tones if your image falls partly on the printed portion and on the unprinted portion!  Just something to be mindful of.

Take note that the sails were "highlighted" with a pale blue marker.  This is a little trick, I’ve mentioned before, used to make any white object (snowmen, for example) really *pop*, and lends depth and dimension very easily and quickly.

I love that little ship!

BTW, check out how Linda used the same layout and concept, but for an adorable pirate card!!!

Go HERE to see what she did!  So stinkin’ CUTE!!!!
