For just "pennies apiece", bwah ha haaaaaaaaaa!  You can make these adorable spinner cards!  Once the power came back on, I couldn’t wait to do this design which had been rolling around in my head (for a few weeks, but life just got too hectic to sit down and do it!) for A Muse’s new globe image–I must confess, I think the globe is my absolute favorite of all the images in the Valentine 07 release.  I wonder if I could use my powers of influence (wink!) on Linda and convince her to produce yet another sentiment stamp to go with it . . . "You’re outta’ this world!"  Wouldn’t that be cute?  She did do one that says, "You mean the world to me!", and I like that saying, as well.

Anyhoo, when you tilt the card from one side to the other, the globe spins along that channel from one end to the other–very fun and interactive! I’ve watched adults sit there and play with them just as much as the little ones do! LOL!

Now, if you don’t know HOW to make a spinner card, you’re in luck t’day, kidzzzzz!  There’s a nice tutorial over at www.splitcoaststampers.com that has full step-by-step instructions, complete with photos.  Just visit this link:  Spinner Card Tutorial by Cambria Turnbow, stamper extraordinaire, Queen of all things Pink, and one of the original Dirty Dozen Design Team Members.  She explains it so nicely, there is no sense reinventing the wheel (literally!!!). (very big grin and lots of chuckling!)

I simply *had* to use my new Red Tag Sale alpha dies for this, so I Xyroned (Xyron is a brand name of sheet adhesive that is applied with a Xyron machine.  If you don’t have one, you can simply purchase adhesive sheets in packages or use spray adhesive–I’m very sensitive to the fumes, so I much prefer the Xyron) plum pink paper to white coasters and then die cut the letters I needed.  I love the added dimension it gives, but it’s very lightweight!  The tag, which serves as the letter "o", is elevated with 2 layers of foam tape to give even more dimension to the piece.

Now, go dig out those pennies and get busy whippin’ up some spinner cards of your own! (wink!)
