Heartwarming Vintage Sticker from "Spring Joys" and All Patterned Papers by Crafty Secrets; White Base Card by SU!;  Chestnut Roan and Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk Inks by Clearsnap; Postage Scissors by Fiskars; Antique Copper Mini Brads by Creative Impressions; Ribbon by Offray.

I believe I have mentioned before my fondness and love for the nostalgic ephemera of bye gone days . . . I think it’s pretty cool that companies like Crafty Secrets have given them new life and reproduced them so that paper crafters can use them in new works without the destruction of the originals.  They remind me of a time when I think people were more "gentle" to each other . . . Of course, that may just be my head filled with romantic notions, due to the many *trash* (polite word for smut) novels I’ve read . . . ROTFL!

But, ya’ know, I say there’s nothing wrong with the occasional escape to Fantasy Land–I mean, that’s why we love movies, and novels anyway, right?

I was watching Pride & Prejudice (Keira Knightly/Matthew MacFayden version), AGAIN, and listening intently to the editor’s commentary throughout the entire film–I love hearing a director’s perspectives and thoughts  about his/her finished works–and, near the end, in the scene where Darcy comes striding across the moors to Lizzie, the director comments that one of the film crew, quietly sighed to him, "I wish that was my life . . . "

While there was no further elaboration, I like to think I understood what she meant . . . I know, I know . . . I’m quite the hopeless romantic . . . (chuckle!)

  1. I absolutely love this card! It’s so beautiful! I think I am going to have to check into Crafty Secrets and see if they have anything I can’t live without! Who am I kidding!?! I can’t live without most things I see on the web!

  3. I’m totally in with you on this – bygone days & romantic films, esp. P & P! I even collect antique postcards, pictures, etc. Love to get them out & go thru them from time to time. Wish the world could suddenly go back to that era — or at least that I could!
