Clear Stamps (corner bracket, from French Mail, sentiment from Card Sentiments), Patterned Papers, Greetings & Sentiments Stickers all by Crafty Secrets; Amethyst and Eggplant Card Stock by SU!; Versamark Ink; Detail (fine grind) Gold Embossing Powder; Foam Mounting Tape; Gold Mini Brads by SU!

I have had a number of design gigs going on the last few weeks, not to mention the DD unveiled on the 15th, so I have not had much time to create things just for the blog, but here, at last, is something I can share!

This is just so "romantic" and feminine, and yet I think the bright lime color of the paisley background paper gives the vintage aspect of it an upbeat twist, UKWIM?

Chrysanthemums are such a sophisticated flower–my wedding invitations were plain white, with sleek black lettering, but, had a gorgeous embossed chrystanthemum detail that gave it just the right smack of elegance.

The hint of scarlet in the background behind the flowers really makes the image POP in the foreground–not something I would have thought to do, so it’s nice they thought that out for me!  *chuckle*

All I had to do for this project was gold emboss the the sentiment and then the decorative corner bracket 4 times, mat and layer everything, adding some simple gold mini brads.  Voil√°!   The focal image is beautifully colored  and I felt that, due to the layout, adding ribbon woulda’ prolly been overkill and ended up "fussy", so I felt that was the time to stop.  I set it out for a while, busied myself with something else, and then came back to look at it.  It still felt complete. *grin*

This piece was designed for the Crafty Secrets display/booth, at the Heirloom Productions Art Stamping Convention this weekend, down in Puyallup, WA!  I did 3 more, which I’ll upload here later on, but if you attend the show, stop by Crafty Secrets and see if you can spy all 4!  FUN!!!  And, give Sandy, the owner a warm hug for me–she’s a sweetie pie!

Be sure, as well, to stop by the Daisy booth, to see all the latest A Muse summer images!  They are an absolute KICK!   I hope attendees to the show will dish about all the show happenings on SCS–I would have enjoyed going to this, if I hadn’t already had out-of-town plans!  Good Times!

Enjoy the weekend!
