All patterned papers and Card Sentiments Clear Stamp Set by Crafty Secrets; Versamark Pad by Tsukineko; Gold Detail (fine grind) Embossing Powder; Satin Ribbon from Michael’s; Organdy Ribbon by SU!; Pearl Brad by K & Co.; Sakura Quickie Glue Pen; Prisma Glitter

I have a thing for mermaids, and I just ADORE this particular paper from a paper pad by Crafty Secrets.  I think this piece is from the "Radiant Pad", but I’ll hafta double check.

This is actually a ginormous card–measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", but, it kinda had to be that size in order to show off the mermaid, who is simply too beautimous to be cut down, in my humble opinion. *wink*

The base card is made of white card stock, and the ribbon secured from the back side of the patterned paper, brought down around in front, and then secured with the pearl brad.  Then the sentiment was mounted into place with foam mounting tape, and the entire panel mounted to the white base card, so the raw edges of the ribbon and the brad, etc. would be concealed.

The top portion of the paper that was trimmed away was so pretty, I just had to do something else with it, so . . . I used it to make yet another design! *grin*

Patterned Paper, Bird Notes and Cherubs Clear Stamp Sets by Crafty Secrets; Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink Chestnut Roan; Fabriano Mediovalis (folded) Reply Card; Pale Pink Organdy Ribbon by SU!; Sakura Quickie Glue Pen;  Prisma Glitter; Watercolor Pencils by Derwent

I think this little cherub, perched high up in the clouds, is so sweet!  This was one of those 5 minute designs that make you smack yourself on the forehead because it was so darn quick and easy, but, ended up so darling!

Internet sucked where I was at, so I finally gave up trying to upload these while I was out of town.  I swear, while it may have been wi-fi, it could NOT have been high speed service!  Once you go high-speed, dial-up is killer!  ACK!  Boy, we sure do get spoiled by our luxuries, don’t we?! *chuckle*

Anyhoo, on my way home, I stopped at Storables and picked up some keen drawer storage units.  I am on a mission to clean up and re-organize my studio, which is a total disaster area at present.  I’m the type that prefers to spend her time creating, as opposed to organizing and keeping things neat and tidy . . . but, there’s a down side to that, and I’m livin’ it right now.

So, I best quit yappin’, and get busy . . . I won’t get far, of course, but, I’ll get somewhere . . . *snort*!
