Schoolbus
All stamp images and note card by A Muse Art Stamps; Palette Hybrid Ink in Noir and Burnt Umber; Copic Markers, Pigma Micron Pigment Ink Pen for detailing; Fiskars hand-held Flower Punch

I’m happy to be able to share this design because it’s been pubbed to the A Muse Design Studio!  Have you ever watched the school bus head down a country road?  I love how the newly fallen leaves get swept up in the air-wake as the bus goes by, and swirl and twirl up into the air, and then float back down.  That’s what inspired this design!

The falling leaves were hand detailed, as were the dotted swirls behind the bus.  My little Fiskars flower punch makes the perfect exhaust poofs–I love that thing!  Those little punche outs can be a buggah to glue down, unless you have :  Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to the rescue!  That is another favorite must-have tool on my work-surface.

In hindsight on this design, I’m feeling I should have added a few more details–not necessarily ribbon, tho.  Glitter, I think.  Whenever I’m not quite sure what’s missing on a design, I frequently find glitter will be just the perfect final touch.  If I were to do this card again, I think I’d put copper, orange, and green Stickles on the leaves.

I think I’d enjoy sitting down, taking some cards I’ve made in the past, and re-making them, adding the touches I wish I’d thought of when I originally sat down to make them.
