I really loved one of the sample cards in the Fall Winter 07 SU! catalog, p. 150.   Of course, a large part of why it snagged my eyeballs was the fact that it is CELERY!!!  *snort*

I made a few modifications, just for the halibut. *grin*

This design features a sneak•peek of a coming sentiment. My first thought was to use a more obvious image–the Chinese take-out box filled with hearts (good fortune).  But, everything I was coming up with felt very forced and I wasn’t happy.

Then, came the idea to try a different strategy–enter the Ladybug! One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I had the urge to pierce . . . *chuckle*   Of course, our Ladybug needed a trail to wander, and then I decided she needed a glossy finish . . . And, at that point, I sat on my hands . . .

Aaaah, well.  So it goes . . . *more chuckling*

  1. My first reaction was “SHUT UP!!!” but I see Shannan already said that. So how about… Omigosh, SHUT UP!!!!

  2. I LOVE that sentiment! Definitely a keeper!!!

  3. This is darling. I love your take on the catalog pic.

  4. SHUT UP this is adorable! I must have that sentiment!

  5. Too cute! I love this sentiment! I can’t wait to use it for Chinese New Year!

  6. Amazing Cards!!!! You’re cards are always so clean, colorful and visually appealing. Thank you for your continued inspiration! Have a wonderful Chrismas Holiday! Blessings.

  7. Halibut? I keep reading you saying halibut. Duh. I finally figured out what it means! LOL

Adorable card. Love the leaf hanging off just a tad.
