Don’t the leaves look almost like gentle hearts?  Sympathy cards are always so hard to design, but, if you ever have need of one, I think this would serve beautifully . . .


I used Flower & Vines to create a soft monochromatic background–giving subtle texture, without being overbearing.  I had some scraps of Fabriano laying around that I used to stamp the leaves, and trimmed those out with my scissors–I don’t normally do a lot of cutting, but, I wanted some dimension and I wanted the leaves to extend beyond the edges as you see.  They are elevated with foam mounting tape.

I was less than conservative with the ribbon–I love creating a trio of ribbon bands like this when working with narrow ribbon, and the new Ivory and Lime Sheer helped to tie all the colors together nicely.

This turned out so serene and "quiet", UKWIM?
