Sorry1

Sometimes an apology is in order.

I’d like to think one like this would convey the sentiment sincerely.

I wanted a more "robust" and foliage-heavy branch for the Owl to perch upon.  So, I used one of the trees from Trees 2, and leaves from the Leaves set!

Sorry2

The open spaces of these images gave me a fab opportunity to blend the Copic colors used, and I just love how rich and intense the results were.

I originally matted the focal panel to the Vintage Orange, but, it didn’t seem right–looked drab and blaaaah.   I did try a French Roast (dark, rich brown color) mat, because of the brown ink the image was stampd in, but, it made too harsh a contrast.   When I switched to a Popsicle Pink mat, and then added the Vintage Orange, it seemed to be exactly what the design needed and gave just enough definition, colorful texture, and POP, without overkill.

Tried to restrain myself, but, the little dots in between each of the letters on the "sorry" just begged for bling; I could not deny them.  ROTFL!

HEY, MIKEY!!!  I LIKEY!!!

  2. So cute….I’m really into Owls at the moment. First it was birds and now its Owls.

  3. How clever to use the tree as a more substantial branch- great for this owl and the matting is perfection! I’ll always forgive someone if they show up with a little bling-lol!

  4. Love it. I wish my husband would say sorry with bling. Instead, I get a “I’m sorry if you FEEL that I’m wrong…”…sigh. LOL!
