So.  Can ya' stand just one more Valentine?

Most of the time I have a mental image of how I want something to look when finished.  Not the case with this.  All I knew from the get-go was that I wanted to use the damask image.  And, this was the end result.

I like it!  It's kind of "eclectically" sweet.  I wonder if that makes sense to anyone but me . . . *insert rolling eyeballs*  Embossed a scrap of our red paper with an embossing folder and then punched it out, and sanded it to make the embossing more pronounced–I just adore that funky heart by Fiskars–it's got just the right amount of wonky imperfection!

And the little flower punched from petite gingham is so dainty.  Of all the patterned papers we've done so far, I think the gingham is my favorite.  Gingham just reeks of sunshine and happy, UKWIM?

Love that little button pop of celery green!  It's teeny, to be sure, but it had to be done; I threaded the button with some chocolate colored twine.  Cuz, well, that's the rule 'round this palace:  NEVER LEAVE YER BUTTONS NEKKED.

  1. Loving this…that embossed heart is perfect!

  2. Love your eclectic style! Just told my friend Betty (LSS) that I thought gingham was brilliant and also kitchen dot…love the classic whimsyness!

  3. So cute, and how delicate is this flower and heart!!

  4. Nekkid buttons make me want to avert my eyes! I always thread them and when that is too much trouble I just leave them off!!

  5. Oh this is so pretty Julie! Until you make your own font/sentiment set I think that I will send all of my cards to you to write on! :-)

  6. i used to be a “never leave you buttons nekkid” but i have moved on ;) to the point where if i dont put anything through the holes.. my customers take note ” jenn… you forgot to thread something through your button!!” hahaha :)
    love the card julie!

  7. Soooo cute! Love how sweet this one is! And I actually like nekked buttons! :)

  8. I totally agree! When I see a nekked button, I want to put clothes on it!
