Honestly? I wasn't feelin' it. The Halloween-y. I've been dragging my feet, even tho Fall is my favorite of the 4 seasons; Summer came too late 'round here, and now it seems to be leaving too early. Dramatically early. I'm not ready. I need more days to run around in capris and flip-flops, not fleece and ragg socks.
Then, I saw this: Cards by Cookie: Beware…..
"SHUT UP!!!", I shouted. Which was promptly followed by a ………………………THUD!
I love to visit Cookie's blog. Girl's got mad skillz with stamps, stickers, die cuts–I always feel refreshed when I see what she's been up to. And that card with the Martha Stewart acetate elements? LOLLY! I kept ogling it!
So, I started to pull out a bunch of Halloween stamps, and I couldn't figure out WHY, at first, because when I went into the studio, it wasn't with the intent to make anything Halloween-y. I wasn't feeling it. But Cookie's card kept flashing before my eyes. I think she bewitched me. *chuckle* All of a sudden, TSUNAMI! I made about 4 designs. Got up this morning and ideas for 4 more came rolling in! What the . . . ? I don't usually get tsunami'd with 8 design ideas in that span of time. I was puzzled. Nevertheless, I was gonna ride the wave. And did I ever!!! I had a blast in the studio!
I finally put 2 and 2 together and realized it was Cookie's card that inspired this flood of Halloween-y. And, while I have no scientific evidence to support it, I also think the yoga pants I was wearing had something to do with it–perhaps not necessarily the Halloween-y, but just a general environment of heightened creativity.
Therefore, I'd like to thank Cookie and the yoga pants. Most kindly!
I guess . . . I'll be sharing a lotta Halloween cards over the coming days. *chuckle*
