I've got a fun design to share today, for the Lawnscaping Challenge #39, featuring my FAVORITEST kinda cards to make in the whole wide world:  ONE LAYER!

And, if you know me at all, you know a plain white card is my favorite canvas to work on!

Sometimes, I get in the habit of always stamping outline images in black and coloring them in. Here, I went the opposite direction; I stamped the images in Memento Cantaloupe, and did very minimal coloring with Copics, and I just ADORE the way it really draws the eye to these charming Lemonade guys against the white backdrop!

Sponging and glittering the scalloped edge and the smidge of washi tape from my stash gives a touch more interest to the card, giving the illusion of more layering.

Yellow and Eucalyptus Stickles give just the right sparkle, and, of course, I had to give the li'l guys a healthy glow by blushing their cheeks a wee bit.

I'm so tickled this was the Lawnscaping challenge–I could make these kinds of cards ALL DAY LONG!!! *monkey clapping*

Have a gooder!

  1. This is really interesting. Very nice idea and it’s really cool. Nice post! Thank you for sharing this wonderful post.

  2. A one layer wonder! Yay for guest designing at Lawnscaping!

  3. FABulous card!

  4. Absolutely beautiful! I love the color combo and the unexpected non-black outline. Just ordered the cantelope pad after much use on the dew-drop. Beautiful!
