Cacharel-Spring-2013 (fashionologie)

To see the details of the challenge, click here: RIC #27

I must confess to being ridiculously tickled waaaay back, when Jennifer Rzasa invited me to guest design for the Runway Inspired Challenge; I'm always AMAZED at the creations the DT come up with!!! And it fascinates me to see how differently each of them interprets the inspiration image! *Uber* cool!!!

So. Are ya' ready to see what I came up with? *cheeky grin*

(insert drum roll here)

Since I didn't have any images that resembled the pattern/designs on her dress, I had to wing it…

… Literally…

Great expanses of white, some black & white and pops of very bold blue were the things that really stood out to me so that's what I ran with. So fun!!!

Be sure to see what all the designers came up with–very cool!!!

Thanks for stopping in today!

And, thanks to Jennifer for inviting me to play with the RIC DT!

  1. Hello Julie. I LOVE this card because I LOVE butterflys. I also love the splatter, although it looks to be so controlled. Maybe I just splatter bigger? lol Could you email me and tell me how you controlled your splatter and what you used? I’m afraid I won’t see your answer here since I’m a newbie to you wesite! thank you so ever so much :)

  2. BEautiful!

  3. Such a GORGEOUS card, Julie! I love how you saturated the blue in the center of the butterfly…brings my eye right to it!!! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with us…I really appreciate it!

  4. I LOVE your sense of humor. I LOVE this card too.

  5. A little late to the party, but wanted to let you know how FAB I think your card is! I don’t know how in the heck you got prevented your glossy accents from turning your paper yellowish. It all came together so well … so excited to see you on this challenge!!

  6. WOW!!!! STUNNING!!! So great to see you at CHA. Hugs..

  7. You inspired me to give the challenge a try … love this.

  8. What a beautiful interpretation of the dress Julie! love the splatter and that gorgeous butterfly!
