"I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't dare who knows it!" – Buddy, The Elf

When it comes to paper crafting, I do quite literally fall in love with the littlest of things…

You know I love me some Washi tape, baker's twine, wood veneers, glitter, dies… and now, sequins. Sparkly, iridescent sequins in yummy colors!

Ellen and I looked around. We found sequins… they were OK… and then we found these

Yes, my latest addiction, affliction, obsession… *swoonage*

They are perfect for a full card front shaker pocket and if you've never made one before, I did a video tutorial you can watch here:  Hello, Monday 02.18.2013 – the CLASSroom

Enjoy!

  1. must try this way of making a shaker!! it looks so fun easy, that and any excuse to use my washi! =) thanks so much for sharing!!

  2. I was so taken with the video and in particular the shaker card I’m patiently awaiting the delivery of my sequin order. I ordered 6 colors to start with for some ATCs I want to make. Thank you (and Ellen) for your creativity and great blogs.

  3. LOVE your cards!!! I, too, am in love with sequins after receiving some vintage ones from Katrina at Pugly Pixel a couple years ago!

  4. Super cute cards, love the sunshine shaker card

  5. loved the video too Julie and I even ordered myself some of that cool washi tape in pink :):)

  6. LOVED the video, Julie! Thanks for the awesome idea of using Washi Tape instead of sewing! All three cards are adorable! :)
