Be prepared to git yo’ par-taaaay on and leave a comment at this and all the other blogs along the hop! Here’s why:
And, if you play in the coordinating challenge, looky here:
Now, on to the rest of my post:
Our mission was to create something with a birthday theme, and with only 10 minutes, I opted for an OLC (one-layer-card), of course! :)
CREATION TIME: 14:53
True to the theme, I went with cake… :)
WARNING: Mini hi-jack ahead >>> If you haven’t seen Jim Gaffigan’s take on cake, you just GOTTA. It is hysterical!!!
So, I know it’s supposed to be created within 10 minutes, BUT, I didn’t make it. I thought I could. I thought I would.
But, the card’s a win. And, I likey! ;)
Stamped the cake onto my fav-o-rite paper for stampin’ and watercolorin’, then trimmed it out and mounted it with foam dots to a simple white card base. I die cut the candle and then stamped and water-colored it, as well. Hand-wrote the sentiment… And, I’m bettin’ if I hadn’t gone the extra mile with the Glossy Accents on the frosting, and Stickles, of course, I actually might have finished within 10 minutes… But I knew it would look so cool and couldn’t seem to sit on my hands this time around. Oy.
Next stop on the hop is the sweet and extremely talented:
Enjoy the hop!
