You don’t wanna know how long it took me to figure out exactly HOW I wanted to achieve this striped effect; the end result is simple enough, but yes, there were some epic fails prior to getting to this point…

In the end, I could not sit on my hands… wanted the stars to stand out a wee bit more… Still debating whether or not it was a good move…

Thankfully, the recipient will never know the internal artistic struggle I endured; they will be occupied with cake (gotta love Jim Gaffigan!!!). *cheeky grin*

Sorry about the background noise on the audio; the Sound of Freedom was running exercises. I’m glad they practice.

Have a fab weekend!

  1. GA! The card is beautiful. But I have a ridiculous question. Do you wash your hand inbetween colors? If I rub my fingers over colors like that and then pull up the masking tape I INVARIABLY get “color” somewhere I don’t want it. It’s SO DARN FRUSTRATING. And yours always turn out perfect!!!! hints?

  2. Just tried this Julie and love it- thanks for the inspiration.

  3. Oh how I adore this card chica, you are one talented lady and I adore you and your creations, hugs
