Ohhhh, yes I did!  *fist pump*

Another pineapple card. Same awesome Hero Arts Paper Layering Pineapple die as used on this card.  And these cards.

HA PINE DIE 2a web

Because resistance is futile.  Gloriously sweet, prickly dimension and detail…

Used my Peerless watercolors this time around. And, I was glad to have the forethought of putting paper towel underneath my project as I watercolored because the paint did seep through the cut lines, naturally.  Avoided a hot mess. *more fist pumping*

I like using Distress Paint in Black Soot for spatter; its thicker consistency allows for the color to remain a deep rich black and doesn’t get watered down. It’s also permanent once it’s dry; if I wanted to watercolor over the top of it, the spatter would remain undisturbed. Muy awesome. :)

When I don’t have a stamp with precisely the phrase I need/want, I rely on my Dymo Label Maker

  1. Trim watercolor paper to 4 x 5.25″.
  2. Die cut pineapple into paper.
  3. Color as desired. (I watercolored)
  4. Dry/heat set with embossing gun.
  5. Spatter with black acrylic paint. Dry/heat set with embossing gun.
  6. Pop up details, mount to base card (Standard A-2, 4.25 x 5.5″)
  7. Generate custom greeting with label maker & affix to card  as shown.

And, Bob’s yer uncle. ;)

  1. Oooh, I LOVE this one!

  2. i.super.love.this.

  3. Loving the mix of colors on this one and the sentiment is too fun!

  4. Pretty card! I can’t believe you said “Bob’s your uncle”! I used that in a meeting recently and everyone looked at me like I was crazy – I thought everyone knew it. Now I poll everyone I meet and so far, I’ve come up with a big fat zero. I was watching a British show recently and one of the characters said “and Robert is your father’s brother”!!! Too long. I think we should spread the word.

  5. Love this colorful, fun pineapple.

  6. Okay. So it’s me, and not you … I had a ‘hot mess’ using the black soot for splatters! At this point, I’m totally thinking it may have been the paper I splattered on!! hmmmm …
you have Me pining for the pineapple!
