Such a fun set–you just can’t go wrong with cupcakes and ice cream, right?! YUMMO!!!

My project features “faux” watercoloring–one of my favorite cheat methods of getting that watercolor look on a solid image!

I used the border sprinkles image to create a striped background and then layered some vellum over top to diffuse the pattern a bit.  The cone and ice cream were inked up with Art Graphic Twin Markers, spritzed with water, and then stamped onto watercolor paper.  When it was dry, I stamped the sentiment over the ice cream with black ink and then die cut everything out.

A little messy next of gold thread is layered behind the ice cream cone and then I embellished it with the little heart cut from foil card stock.

EEP!  So cute!

Thanks for stopping by today and your next stop is:

  2. Beautiful designed. Love the addition of the vellum.

  3. A well-designed card, great presentation. Love the sprinkle stripes (why can’t I think of doing that), with the vellum. Of course the ice cream looks yummy. A great set, love the way you used it!

  4. So pretty – love how you used the vellum.

  5. Nicely done. Love the addition of vellum
