CASE Study 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop

CS anniversary badge

Hi, there and welcome to the CASE study 3rd Anniversary Hop! :) You’ve probably arrived here from the CASE Study Blog itself.

Since the theme is “Inspiration”, I selected one of the many pins I have on my “Sparks me” board over on Pinterest!

I loved the sherbert colored hues of the paint cans in this photo, and since I also adore circles, I simply translated the grid of paint cans with some paper scraps in my bin and a circle punch!

I thought, just for a split second, that perhaps I should add more to the card, but in all honesty, I really liked it just like this.  And, I had already ruined one card over the last few days by adding “one more thing” when it really didn’t need anything more. :)

Thanks for stopping by, and next on the hop is:

Makiko Jones

Be sure to stop and leave a comment here, and at each of the blogs on the hop so you will be eligible for the prize drawings! *fist pump*

If you get lost, you can always go right back to the CASE Study Blog!

IRON CRAFT: A fun stamping duel

Have you ever seen the show Iron Chef? It’s so cool to watch these two chefs, in competition with each other, take the same main ingredient and then bust their tails to develop an amazing dish to impress the judges!

So, I made a new friend a few months ago… Chaitali Narla, of Cuts, Crops & Creativity.  By day, she’s a software engineer!  And, as if that weren’t enough, she makes these adorable interactive cards and shares them on her blog!

A few months back she invited me to play in a challenge–I keep calling it a duel, LOL!– that she named Iron Craft, and I got such a kick out of her idea for a challenge blog!  Some of my favorite card makers have participated and it is SO fun to see what each designer comes up with.  I couldn’t have been more tickled to be invited to duel it out with her using the same stamp set. Head on over to see what my sweet new friend did with it, HERE! :)

ETA: Forgot I actually filmed this, so enjoy!

5MQ: Hello…x3…

I have to admit, the cards that are always the most rewarding for me (creatively speaking) are the ones that are the least labor and time intensive. And have glorious expanses of white space.  I cannot begin to describe how supremely GIDDY they make me!!!

And, that's pretty much all I got to say about that.

Note: scraps of colored 100# Bazzill Card Shoppe from my scrap bin were used to die cut "hello"
