My friend Ann is celebrating her wonderful store’s 30 (THIRTY!!!)  year anniversary! I couldn’t be happier because I think that is truly an amazing accomplishment in our industry!  I’m fortunate to be invited to teach there several times a year and it is such a wonderful store with a fantastic, super-nice staff that *knows* stamping!

Stop in this Saturday, July 15th, for all the fun they have planned and prepare for eye candy galore–the fantastic samples they always have displayed throughout the store always inspire me and get those creative juices flowing!

Congratulations, Ann and to the whole Impress Crew!

In regards to the post title:  Seriously, you had to know that was coming, right?! *snort*

Super-DUPER excited to have this brand new Mermaid’s Tail set releasing at ellenhutson.com–stop by the Ellen Hutson Facebook Page at 10 am PDT for a Hello, Monday LIVE broadcast to hear the story behind the set! :)

Check it out:

I had a ball making samples for it and will be sharing those all week here. :)  Shameless confession: I think I squealed after finishing each one!

Here’s what I’m startin’ with today:

Mermaid 07

Under sea images from the previously released Otter Ware set coordinate beautifully with the new Mermaid Tail. I just used pigment inks to do the stamping and die cut the tail (stamped with Aquamarine onto Easter Grass card stock), trimming away the unneeded portion after 3D mounting it to the white panel! A few Crystal NUVO drops coordinating colors and BAM!!!

I’ll have another to share tomorrow. Promise.

P.S.  If you show & tell your Mermaid Tail creations on Instagram, please tag me using @jaebersole and also hashtag #essentialsbyellen I would be over the moon to see what you make with this set!

Hinged samples jebersole

So many have asked for Hinged Alphabet & Number Dies, after we released the popular Hinged Thanks die earlier that we decided to sneak it in.

I’m doing a Hello, Monday LIVE broadcast over on the Ellen Hutson LLC Facebook Page today–it airs at 10 am PDT, but don’t worry if you miss it–we always record the broadcast so you can watch it any time.  I’ll be sharing some how-to’s/tips & tricks for the dies–I just love them and could play with them all day long, LOL!

Direct links to these two new die sets are at the bottom of this post.

Omg hinged jebersole

(Tiny triangle sprinkles from Oh, Deer stamp set)

Love being able to do this (above) so I can do that (below)…

A hint of what’s inside peek-a-boo’s through those hinged letters–ridiculous FUN!  I created a stencil from the balloon die so I could sponge ink to make the solid colored orbs…

Relax hinged jebersole

(Credits: Card Shoppe Card Stocks in Jawbreaker, Candy Necklace, Robin’s Egg, Icy Mint, Taylored Expressions Salt Water Taffy, Neenah Solar White #110; Doodlebug Sprinkles in Lily White)

Love being able to spell *anything* I want, and create this cool tabbed effect… In ombré, no less… EEP!!!

21 hinged jebersole

(sentiment computer generated; tiny dots from Bokeh Dots stamp set; Heidi Swapp Color Shine Sprays in Gold, Peach & Pink; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Neenah Solar White #110)

This ended up so fun–I just misted some panels of white card stock and then when they were dry, die cut the letters.  I love the staggered tabs!

Thanks for stopping by and hope these ideas inspire!
