I made these cards a while back, playing around with Winnie & Walter’s “Kindness by Evelin T” set but I just haven’t had time to blog lately… :(
Anyhoo, I’m on the road with the Mister–he is attending an educator’s conference and I’m taking a little break from editing some work-related video footage. :)

I love that this set has two versions of each tree or plant–one small and one medium! This gives you a lot of options.
I just watercolored with my Peerless Watercolors, spattering with some Distress Black Soot Paint for texture, when the watercolor was dry. And, I never get tired of that retro label look you get by white embossing words on black card stock… #happysigh
For this one, I white embossed this “groovy” tree and then watercolored over the top, again with my Peerless; trimmed it apart to create a sort of tiled effect. Stamping the large “kindness” vertically is a fun and different way to convey the message and I like how it framed the tree tiles.
Before I cut the tree panel into tiles, I placed it temporarily on my card front and used my Misti to align where the words would get stamped, all at one time–I love that about the Misti!
I best get back to the salt mines… Thanks for stopping by and hangin’ with me, even during my bloggin’ dry spells…
*mondo squishy hugs all around*

I’m part of a fun hop today! Hero Arts is ushering in their fabulous Summer 2016 release and there is eye candy galore all along this hop!
I’m so happy to have you stop by here, after visiting the amazing Joan Bardee
Before I share my creations, I wanted to let you know some cool stuff:
Hero Arts will be giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, May 15 at 11:59pm PT and Hero Arts will announce the winner the following week at their blog.
Okie dokie, now on to the artsy parts:
Couldn’t resist taking all these little fruits and quickly watercoloring them on a simple notecard–You may not be able to tell unless you click on the pic to enbiggan it, but they’re all sugared up with some glitter glue for extra sparkle and fun! :)
These fruity die cuts were die cut from watercolor paper, watercolored and then 3D popped up over a wash of blue–to enhance the details of the slice and wedge, I free-handed a wriggly, skinny line with a fine tip black marker after they were dry. Glossy Accents makes ‘em juicy…!
I love this pineapple stamp–pineapples just remind me of my mama and make me smile–I simply gold embossed this one and then used some pretty patterned papers that had gold foiling, and some glittery gold washi tape and an acrylic gold accent to set the whole thing off! All that gold makes it feel so luxe and fancy!
Enjoy the hop and thanks for stopping by my place today, and your next stop along the way is the fabulous
May the odds be ever in your favor! ;)
