Clean and Simple for Frid-yay!

It’s Friday.  I’m glad.  Are you glad? Anyhoo, my week got away from me.  Why does it do that??? Every time.  *sigh*

I’ve been meaning to share these cards from the January release:

I’m pretty doggone giddy to have whales now for my Stay Salty Set–they’re so fun together! Everything on this card was  stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored with Peerless Watercolors.  I free-hand drew the speech bubble around the sentiment and hand cut it inside the lines.

This penguin guy cracks me up!  The whooshing snow was made by spritzing Heidi Swapp Color Shine in White over the sponged blue ink.  Penguins were all stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, beaks colored in Golden Yellow Copic and bodies shadowed with Copic Cool Grey No. 1

The Strands die makes awesome little snow hills for the cheeky l’il penguins.  Better duck–snowball comin’ at ya’! ;)

See?  All super clean, super simple, super easy.  YASSSS!!!

Have a fabulous holiday weekend!

Just S’whale…

In my world, there can be rainbow whales.  Glittery rainbow whales.  It’s a rare and unique species of whale. *big cheesy grin*  I borrowed the clouds from Stay Salty.  I love loVE LOVE mixing these two sets together!

I used the die cut pieces from the Strands Die (from this Narwhal card); by mounting them to a piece of clear plastic I could hide foam tape behind and pop it up for a floating/dimensional effect.  Gotta love when you can get a two-fer, right?! *fist pump*  I just hand-drew a wonky speech bubble around the sentiment and cut it out–I thought it gave the card a fun extra visual element.

I’ll share more ideas in the coming days–hope these inspire for now!

Winter cards: They aren’t just for Christmas!  Am I right? I get kinda sad when Christmas is over, because I still have sooooo many ideas for snow and ice cards I wanna make!  I decided creative winter fun must continue. *big cheesy grin*

Be sure to check out the CLASSroom–we have some fab guest artists and an awesome compilation of their samples to share with you there, and I also did an overview video of the stamps and dies.

I’ve been having a ridiculous good time with these new sets and have some samples to share:

Additional stamps/dies used:  Stay Salty (waves & sentiment); Bottles of Bubbly Die

I had to do it.  It was nagging and nagging at me to be made. :)

The baby bear reminds me sooooo much of my dog, named Bear because when he was a puppy, he looked like a little polar bear–even their facial expressions are the same!!!

Like I mention in the video–it can be used/applied in so many different ways–makes a great window, but you can also use it as a stencil, use the die cut pieces themselves.  It can be water/waves/ocean, it can be a landscape backdrop… I’m dying to see how YOU will use it!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today–I’ll be sharing more ideas this week!
