I’m part of a fun hop today! Hero Arts is ushering in their fabulous Summer 2016 release and there is eye candy galore all along this hop!
I’m so happy to have you stop by here, after visiting the amazing Joan Bardee
Before I share my creations, I wanted to let you know some cool stuff:
Hero Arts will be giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, May 15 at 11:59pm PT and Hero Arts will announce the winner the following week at their blog.
Okie dokie, now on to the artsy parts:
Couldn’t resist taking all these little fruits and quickly watercoloring them on a simple notecard–You may not be able to tell unless you click on the pic to enbiggan it, but they’re all sugared up with some glitter glue for extra sparkle and fun! :)
These fruity die cuts were die cut from watercolor paper, watercolored and then 3D popped up over a wash of blue–to enhance the details of the slice and wedge, I free-handed a wriggly, skinny line with a fine tip black marker after they were dry. Glossy Accents makes ‘em juicy…!
I love this pineapple stamp–pineapples just remind me of my mama and make me smile–I simply gold embossed this one and then used some pretty patterned papers that had gold foiling, and some glittery gold washi tape and an acrylic gold accent to set the whole thing off! All that gold makes it feel so luxe and fancy!
Enjoy the hop and thanks for stopping by my place today, and your next stop along the way is the fabulous
May the odds be ever in your favor! ;)

Hey, Sunshine! -
You’re a great friend -
Hello! I’m so excited to be playing along in the Hero Arts 2016 Catalog Hop! Everybody’s designs are gonna rock your world!
I have two to share, because I was having so much fun with that cute pineapple die! EEP!!!
I fell in love with both the Paper Layering Pineapple die and the Neon Ombré ink pads at CHA this year–I’m not even a fan of neon, but when I saw the inks used on the samples, they had me hook, line and sinker! They just POP!
Here, I used all three of the different Neon Ombré pads to do the same sentiment (from Many Everyday Messages) and I used fluorescent hued Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a waterbrush to watercolor the pineapple die cut itself.
This die has details that pop up, but the shape remains in the paper–essentially, you could make a single layer card that has all this dimension and interest. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
The next design was based on some Pinterest inspiration–I wanted a “mod” effect that was very clean and graphic.
I love that you can style this pineapple die multiple ways–go whimsical, fun and colorful, or keep it clean, graphic and simple! *fist pump*
Hero Arts is giving away FOUR $25 shopping sprees from comments left all across blogs in the hop–be sure to comment at every stop along the way by 11:59 pm PST Sunday, February 14th
