Sharing a sneak peek–I’m guest designing for Flora and Fauna Clear Stamps today as they debut their new line! I’ve always been a huge fan of hand-drawn stamp images and every single set just stole my heart instantly! Absolutely LOVE! See the full project and how-to-make-it deets HERE.
In the meantime, I’m up to the gills prepping for a LIVE class I’m teaching tomorrow at Impress in Tukwila! And, there may be some Flora & Fauna Stamps involved there, too… *wink* Just sayin’…
On a whim, I sketched out this idea I had for a penny spinner card, which involved rotating the slider channel upside down. Whaaaaat…? I know; I’m just weird that way… !!! *chinkle* Watch the Hyperlapse video to see the creative process from start to finish!
Make sure your foam mounting tape does not impede the movement of the penny-slider along the channel.
Double-layer your foam tape to provide enough clearance for the mechanism to spin/slide freely.
The 3D adhesive foam dot I used to make my penny spinner was from my stash and I had thrown the packaging away so I do not know the source. But, it was 1/8″ thick, and approx. 1/4″ in diameter.
My spinner/slider cards tend to perform best with ROUND pop up dots, but these can be hard to find nowadays because manufacturers seem to be making only square ones… BUT…
You can actually DIY your own ROUND self adhesive pop up dots by applying Be Creative Tape to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then punching through it with a 1/4″ hole punch.
Thanks for stopping by!
