Altenew Blog Hop

Hey, hello, how are ya’?! :)

Welcome to Altenew’s second Blog Hop! Altenew is a relatively new stamp company that opened it’s doors last April. In a couple of days they will be releasing their second collection of stamps. All the stamps that you will see here will be available for purchase at 9:00 am EST on Monday July 14th.

To celebrate their second release, Altenew is giving away five stamp sets of choice to three lucky winners! The winners will be chosen from comments left on the Altenew blog.

You have until Monday July 14th 7:59am EST to leave your comments. You may enter up to two comments on each blog:

  • Comment on the project, or the stamps.
  • Like us on Facebook

The winners will be selected and announced on Monday July 14th at 9:00 am EST!

But, wait, there is more!  :)

I will choose a winner from comments left on this post and the prize will be two stamps sets of your choice. I will draw and announce a winner on Wednesday July 16th.

Now, on to sharing! I’m sure you were agog over Debby Hughes‘ fab design before arriving here! Awesome!

I’m honored to be playing along today and this design may look more complicated than it really is. ;)

Scroll down for a speedy video that shows the card’s creation in progress and how to get this effect.

See what I mean? Easier than it looks!

The next stop on this hop is the wondermous:

Kelly Grigliones

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the hop!

Winnie & Walter Guest Designs

Julie and Shay, of Winnie & Walter, were so sweet to invite me to play with some of their latest stamps!

I have 3 designs to share, each featuring a different set:

For The Big, The Bold and Fun set, I created a watercolored ombré background and then white embossed the words–so quick and easy!

The flowers in The Big, The Bold and Extras seemed perfect for clustering into the corner, in bright colors and accented with washi tape stripes.

Bubble Talk inspired me to make a “guy” themed card–stamped the words with black pigment ink, then stamped the solid speech bubble over top with Versamark, then embossed the whole thing with clear powder. Then, I used a stencil to sponge two different colors of stripes right over the top–a super cool look for a single layer card!

Although I didn’t happen to use any here, Winnie & Walter also offer coordinating digital cut files that folks will enjoy combining with the stamps or using separately!

If you’d like to win the 3 sets featured (The Big, The Bold & Fun, The Big, The Bold & Extras, and Bubble Talk), please leave a comment on this post!

Thank you to Julie and Shay for inviting me to play and for sponsoring this giveaway!
