It's a funny thing . . .

I was so prepared, after having a couple of days of vivid productivity, to continue in that vein. But, that ole’ parameters issue kicked in as I’ve been designing for the DD gallery this month . . . argh.

Tomorrow’s a new day, so let’s see what happens then . . . Maybe a day of shopping will alter my perspective and spark me! Ü Hmmmmm. That’s not a bad idea!

Stamping on acetate

I just loved how this turned out:

All images and papers by A Muse Art Stamps.
Colorbox Fluid Chalk and Ancient Page Inks (both by Clearsnap)
May Arts Ribbon (love that stuff!!!)
Antique copper brads, source unknown

I was experimenting with Ancient Page ink on acetate. I actually inked up the stamp, but because it was so “wet”, I was concerned it would slip and slide a lot. So, I let the stamp sit, inked, for a little while–maybe 30 seconds – 1 minute? (so hard to be patient, LOL!) Then, I held the stamp in both hands, and anchored/steadied myself with my pinkies on the card, and then eased the stamp down onto the acetate.

I sped up the drying process with my hairdryer (heat gun would have warped this plastic, as it wasn’t heat resistant type). Then, I let it sit a little longer. I ended up with a very crisp image on the acetate–very happy results.

Someone had told me that only Staz-On or Brilliance would dry on acetate . . . Staz-On does actually dry quickly–quicker than any other permanent ink I’ve tried– but, I discovered Ancient Page has waaaaaay more color options! Ooooh! I need more play time with this! Heh, heh, heh!
