ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN RELEASE HOP – DAY 3

ig-20171203-ebe-release-available

Thanks for hopping over here from the CLASSroom today!  Everybody’s projects have been so fun!

My project today features these products from the release:

ebe-201712-dies-bottles-of-bubbly-fw50

Bottles of Bubbly Die Set

ebe-201712-cue-the-confetti-fw50

Cue the Confetti Stamp Set

Poppin-Bottles-001A-je

This is a larger sized bottle die–I love the presence it has–makes for some really fun options!  Here I just die cut it from the fun Happy Hooray Paper pad that’s part of the Party Bundle.

I hand-lettered the “Cheers” die and love using it to accent the the bottle!

Methinks this would make fun New Year’s Party invite, too!  I posted a few weeks ago with a project featuring this die set, check it out HERE.

ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN DECEMBER RELEASE HOP – DAY 1

ig-20171203-ebe-release-available

Hi, everybody!  Welcome to the December hop for the latest Essentials by Ellen Release!  All the fun starts in the CLASSroom and be sure to scroll down to the end of my post for a link to your next stop for today’s hop!

ebe-201712-cue-the-confetti-fw50 Cue the Confetti

ebe-201712-dies-confetti-flinger-fw50 Confetti Flinger Die Set

ebe-201712-dies-yay-fw50 Yay Die Set

I’m sharing a few projects with Cue the Confetti Stamp Set and the Confetti Flinger Die– I must admit, these are two of my most favorite products I’ve ever designed–they’re just so…. ME! Hah!

Confetti-Flinger-001A-je

For this card front, I die cut the YAY!” from different colors of card stock and also from glitter paper and then glued them in offset fashion.  The little sesame seed sequins are just sooooooo perfect for this card design–they literally look like they’re being tossed–such a great effect!

Inside, I just had to use the flinger for the inside of this one–it’s just too stinkin’ FUN!  CONFETTI FLINGER ASSEMBLY VIDEO

I love using the glassine paper for the confetti holder–it’s translucent, so no color matching worries AND it’s very lightweight; perfect for releasing the confetti as the card opens.

By the way,  in case you didn’t see my earlier post, I’ve tried the confetti flinger with some DIY Rainbow TISSUE Paper confetti and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it *poofs* out of the card when it’s opened–FLUTTERY!!!  I couldn’t stop playing with it!

Mixed Cue the Confetti in with the YAY! die set –the front is a clear cellophane envelope I had laying around–I slipped a piece of acetate into it so it would have some body and then slipped some confetti into it, sealed it, and then sandwiched it between two balloon die cuts (the one on the outside of the card was watercolored and die cut from watercolor paper.

I had made a top-folding card and then whacked off the front so there was only about 1/2″ or so remaining past the score line–I sandwiched that flap between the two die cuts after I adhered the top of the cellophane envelope to it so the card had a nice finished look on the inside.  This is such a fun option for making shaker cards where the front is almost entirely clear.

Hope these ideas inspire!

Now, on to the next stop:

BRANDI KINCAID

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy all the eye candy along the way!

DECEMBER ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN RELEASE:

Essentials by Ellen December 2017 Release is here!

ig-20171203-ebe-release-available

It’s December! (How’d that happen???) And soooooo much going on! We have a new release that just went live at Ellen Hutson LLC.  There will be some hops beginning December 13 to inspire you, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share a fun (not  part of the hop) sample. :)

December_2017_release_je_00-5

We’ve had the DREARY-EST (is that a word?) weather here and getting enough daylight to shoot nice photos has been a lost cause… I couldn’t get the Delicata Gold Ink to show up in the first photo, so hopefully you can see it better in the 2nd.

December_2017_release_je_00-2

I tinted the vellum card stock with pigment ink prior to die cutting.  I had seen some super clever mini champagne bottle favors on Pinterest that just CRACKED me up and I just could.not.resist. mimicking them! *chortle*  Turned out even better than I imagined! *monkey clapping*

Links to the release AND a could-not-be-more-perfect coordinating Party Bundle are below–everything works BEAUTIFULLY together!

Be sure to stop by the CLASSroom December 13th for the first of 3 mini hops!
