LINK: Hello, Monday 02.29.2016
I was over in the CLASSroom yesterday (link above) with a fun and easy interactive card video. Check it out, when you get a chance–I loved makin’ those things!
I’ve got lots of irons in the fire lately, including these upcoming classes in Sacramento…
As always, too much to do, and not enough day. Or me. Hah!
Last weekend, the Mister & I booked a rare, last-minute (literally) weekend down in Seattle, to attend the Home Show… It was mostly contractors and service providers that serve the Seattle area… We learned a few things, but I was kind of disappointed (in the show itself), to be honest… I guess I thought it would be bigger (I mean, Seattle, right?!), and there would be more manufacturers exhibiting? I thought we’d see a lot more innovative design kinds of things… like faucets, lighting, flooring and countertops, storage solutions… It was interesting for us to note that in the area we live, there is such high demand that contractors and builders have full/booked out schedules…
But, it was a fun weekend and we enjoyed a few restaurants that we’d never been to before–we love good eats! :)
In the downtown area, check out Lola’s and/or Dahlia Lounge. We had fantastic and out-of-the-ordinary breakfasts at each of these places! And, based on the crowds, they are both very popular dining spots–I imagine their lunch and dinner dishes are equally fabulous!
Hope your week is going splendid!
Long time, no post. *chortle* I dropped off the grid to finish up artwork for an upcoming Essentials by Ellen release and then took off for Florida for nearly two weeks to spend the holidays with my daughter’s family! Trying to capture Lilly on camera (and not just a blur) is challenging. There were a few brief moments where she held still long enough for us to snap a shot or two… LOL! She’s a bundle of energy, I tell ya’! I soaked up every minute of it and we had an amazing time!
You can call and Facetime until the cows come home, but there’s nothing like having those little arms wrap around your neck in a big “pink” hug… She brings us joy in ways I can’t begin to describe…
A few days after returning, I was back on a plane with my dear friend and colleague Ellen headed for CHA (Craft & Hobby Association Conference & Show) in Anaheim, CA! Hooked up with many friends, saw lots of new crafty goodies coming and also got to have dinner with my little sister! GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES!!!
Carissa brought a selfie stick and I can’t tell you how many times we TRIED to get a good shot… Laughed so hard I thought I’d split my sides!
Check out our Favorite Finds video in today’s InTouch Newsletter Article HERE.
I did a recap Flip-a-Gram of our adventures… You can see that HERE.
I wish I could figure out how to embed the Flip-a-Gram, but alas, my technical skills are crap and I’m clueless.
While down in Cali, my latest Hello, Monday posted over in the CLASSroom HERE.
Made using Love You So, with a little “Wild Thing” in mind… :)
Happy Friday and have a gooder! ;)
There are times when life throws more curveballs than we can handle and in order to keep fighting the good fight, something’s got to give… I don’t talk about it very often, and many of you may not know this about me, but I have suffered from an anxiety/depression disorder for many, many years. Most of the time, I do fairly well, but when the curveballs start flying, sometimes my anxiety takes over and I struggle with panic attacks, and my ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions, etc. becomes severely diminished. And, when that happens, I find it helps to take something off my plate for awhile.
I’m hoping to start creating and posting again more regularly, but in the meantime, I just wanted to say, “I’m still kickin’; I’m just out fielding some curveballs at the moment.”
