Handcarved Leather Art

General Info
I do the art pieces one at a time and do not make a like piece until it is sold. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
On the embossed pieces, I do not use forms or molds. The leather is embossed using marbles and a kitchen spoon to stretch the leather.
Feel free to inquire about having a design made to your specifications. I can work from pictures of animals and landscapes.
Prices will depend on size, complexity and whether it is carved or embossed.
All framing is done by a professional and the frames are picked out by an interior designer so that they compliment the art work.
Custom orders will be priced without a frame, then you can pick out your own.

Handcarved Elephant

The Elephant is colored with acrylics and the foliage with an alcohol dye.
The framed picture measures approximately 23-1/2" tall by 21-1/2" wide.
The corners on the frame are solid pewer.

Embossed Eagle

This piece is one solid piece of leather. The feathers are lifted from the leather with a scalpel, one at a time.
The Eagle is colored with light washes of acrylic so as to let some of the leather to show through.
The framed picture measures approximately 20" tall by 17" wide.
