I handcarve and or handstamp the album/binder from 11oz. Hermann Oak leather(light weight saddle leather). Each is lined with 1 to 2oz. linning leather and laced with a triple loop. I use heavy leather because I don't like to use thin leather with a cardboard stiffener like so many others do. The standard size I make uses a 3" oval ring and measures 12" wide by 12 1/2" tall by 4" deep, and holds 8 1/2" by 11" paper or inserts. You can order 2",1 1/2", 1", or 3/4" rings and the size of the binder will be made proportional. For wedding albums or scrapbooking you just need to tell us the size of the paper used and I will adjust the size of the binder to try. I can also use long Chicago Screws or leather ties if you want an expandable album.
